Joanna Shiraz
SINGLE VINEYARD - VINTAGE 2016

Joanna is a Single Vineyard Shiraz grown in Wrattonbully, 30 minutes north of Coonawarra. Joanna was born by 'chance' a few years ago, when Luke was tasting through some older vintages ageing in barrel. 2012 was the first vintage released, it became a customer favourite immediately. You will love her, if you don't already.
Joanna is cellared for 5-8+ years prior to release. (Vintage conditions dictate how long we age these premium wines)
Home Block Cabernet Sauvignon

"2015 was a great vintage. It was a dream to pick and make this Home Block Cabernet. Moderate crops and a nice even growing season made picking decisions easy, with sugar and flavour ripeness at their optimum. Overall a well balanced wine that expresses the regional spice and fruit characters that the Home Block is underpinned by. " - Luke Tocaciu, Owner & Winemaker.
Home Block is a Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon - classic Coonawarra. This is the first wine we made, the first vintage being 1998 (released in 2004 with the launch of our small business). Home Block is 1 Hectare of 60 yr old vines, on shallow Terra Rossa soil, surrounding the Tocaciu family home.
Home Block, like our other Flagship wines, is cellared for 5-8+ years prior to release.
Two-Blocks Shiraz

"This vintage of Shiraz is very expressive of a nice warm vintage. Generous fruit flavour with a subtle hint of white pepper on the palate. Rich and complex without being jammy. The tannin structure is fine and very well balanced. " - Luke Tocaciu, Owner & Winemaker.
Two-Blocks Shiraz is grown in our Northern vineyard in Wrattonbully; sandy soil across two slopes. Sheep roam the vineyard, keeping the weeds in check and the ground fertile. Our Wrattonbully vineyards produce some of the best fruit in our range, we are so grateful that Pat trusted his instincts all those years ago and invested in Wrattonbully's future.
